This Christmas was blessed but a little different than usual.  Jessica was admitted to the hospital on Christmas Eve with a kidney infection which caused multiple problems for her.  We were able to keep Emma with us and enjoyed having her.  It was Emma's first Christmas so we took all of her gifts to the hospital so Mommy and Daddy could watch her open them.
The room was packed with family and wrapping paper.
On the way home we stopped and visited Preacher and Mrs. Gray.  We had a great time talking and catching up on family happenings.  Around 5:00 p.m. it started snowing!  I thought it might be just an invisible flurry but it turned out to be a real "White Christmas".  We left there covered in giant snowflakes wondering if we'd make it home in the "blizzard"!
Emma got to see her first snow and Pop-Pop made sure she got to feel it, too.  Praise the Lord, Jessica is doing better and was released from the hospital at the end of the week.
Scott and I spent our 31st anniversary with Emma and we enjoyed sitting around the house and watching her.  We left for Galveston, Texas on Thursday morning and spent three days enjoying each other's company, beautiful views, shopping the sales, and eating!
New Year's Eve was spent with Mark and Kimberly at their home in Shreveport, Louisiana.  No snow this time, just rain all day long.  It was a great day with the Simmons and the Meaves.  Mark and Meagan cooked and Kimberly kept everyone entertained and comfortable.
Praise the Lord for a blessed and safe ending to 2012.
